In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we find ourselves reflecting.
2025 marks 20 years for Rising Sun Consultants. We are in awe of God’s faithfulness.
This milestone isn’t about us. It’s about you—the leaders and organizations who trusted us to walk alongside you. You’ve trusted us. You’ve believed in us. You’ve invited us into your lives, your teams, and your organizations. You’ve given us the privilege to speak the truth about what it means to care for people, to love them well, while maintaining the firmness needed to invest in their growth through discipline and correction.
As we reflect on yesteryear, we are grateful for these lessons:
- Be givers, not takers – We are reminded that it’s less about building massive empires or chasing wealth to make a difference. Instead, we’ve committed to being givers, not takers. Be humble receivers of blessings, yes, but always seeking to be on the side of serving first.
- Be generous and give God the glory – When we recognize that everything we have comes from the Creator, giving becomes natural. We don’t worry about being taken advantage of, because it truly is more blessed to give than to receive.
Some things have evolved over two decades, but our foundation remains unchanged: servant leadership. From day one, we’ve treated people with dignity and respect, balanced high expectations with genuine care, and maintained unwavering integrity between our actions and our words.
This Thanksgiving week, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We are grateful for you, clients who are committed to servant leadership. We are grateful for our dedicated team, past and present. We are also grateful for our health, communities, and our loved ones. As with the name Rising Sun, we remember and celebrate the bright hope for tomorrow. As individuals and as companies, our past doesn’t define us. No matter how dark the night, the sun ascends each morning.
